Other Weddings and Things
Friday night was really fun. Zillahface and I were running around making out in as many places as we could before we'd get ushered out when we ran into Naeva Trinstadt. She had this weird mix of nervousness and excitement on her face, and I don't blame her one bit, because she was to be married the very next day! So to distract her, and with alot of convincing Zillah, we went to a couple of taverns and carried around huge jugs full of wine. We staggered in the street with our jugs and Zillahface followed us moping, obviously not interested in being with two drunken and giggling girls. We found ourselves in Agrabah, where Yusuf scrubbed disgusting balls of dirt off our skin (thank goodness, too, because me and Z got into a mud fight earlier), and then Sabiha stretched, pulled, and battered our muscles until we felt like goo. I could tell Naeva really liked it, she didn't want to get off the massage table. After chasing goats and camels, and harassing the harem girls, we finally passed out in our drunken hazes.
The next morn, my favorite dreadlocked man and I went on a shopping spree for Naeva and Ari's wedding gift. Again, he insisted on splattering mud all over me so we lounged in the Carthage baths for awhile relaxing before the big event. We made it to the grove of while orchids just in time to see Naeva in her lovely emerald dress looking worried ... and alone. The guests were looking around nervously, whispering concerns about where Ari might be. Naeva started to get flushed from anger when she stormed off, realizing that she was going to be alone at the altar. Just after she left, a messenger brought a letter that further spoiled the day. The guests then met at Naeva and Ari's home, where Naeva put on a forced smile and encouraged everyone to eat and drink. Upon reading the letter, her anger dissipated and concern took over. According to the letter, Ari was found hurt and wouldn't be available to make it. There was no indication of where he was which didn't make the situation any better, either.
At this point, I hope that Ari has been found and is doing ok. I also hope that Naeva and he can still get married after all of this. I still need to know what a wedding is like...
